Easy Green Friends You Won’t Kill!

Thinking about getting into plants but afraid you’ll forget to water them
or water them too much? Don’t worry — we’ve all been there. The good news is, there are plenty of plants out there that are very forgiving and perfect for beginners. These plants don’t need a green thumb, just a little love (and maybe a sunny windowsill).

Let’s meet your new plant BFFs:

🐍 1. Snake Plant (Sansevieria)

Also called mother-in-law’s tongue, this plant is basically indestructible. It can handle low light, dry air, and missed waterings. In fact, it prefers you leave it alone. Just water it once every 2–3 weeks, and it’ll thrive.

🌿 2. Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)

The ultimate beginner plant! Pothos grows fast, looks great in hanging pots, and can survive in almost any indoor lighting. Plus, you can easily propagate it (just snip and place in water). It’s low effort, high reward.

đŸȘŽ 3. ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia)

Want something stylish and chill? Go for the ZZ plant. It has glossy, dark green leaves and needs very little water — like, once a month. It also handles low light like a champ. Basically, it thrives on neglect.

đŸŒ” 4. Aloe Vera

A plant that’s also a skincare helper? Yes, please! Aloe vera loves bright light and doesn’t need frequent watering. Just place it by a sunny window and let the soil dry completely before you water again. Bonus: it’s great for soothing cuts or sunburns.

🍀 5. Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum)

Want a flowering plant that’s still easy to care for? The peace lily is your pick. It’s low-maintenance but will let you know when it’s thirsty (the leaves droop a bit — very dramatic). Water it, and it perks right up!

Starting your plant journey doesn’t have to be scary. These beginner-friendly plants are cute, low-maintenance, and super satisfying to grow. Before you know it, you’ll be that person with a window full of happy green leaves. 🌿
